Everyone has beliefs of some sort. Rather it be about religion, fighting, death or family. What all of these things have in common, is that they require time and loyality to believe with them.
Promises, Words, Oaths, and Vows
Chiru's belief system when it comes to these things are pretty simple, promises are meant to be broken, ones word can be broken for a good enough cause, oaths can not be broken unless by a vow and a vow can never be broken.
She still believes this though she has experienced others who said they believed the same but did not in the end.
